How has queer media developed alongside changes to LGBT legislation in Britain?

Why? =

Because queer media is so much more than just basic ‘news’, it’s content that is often pivotal in people’s journey to discovering their identity and so it would be interesting to see how it has developed as public opinion and legislation has slowly become more accepting of queer lives.

How will it help your FMP? =

The topic of my FMP is going to be queer lives in Britain, so looking back at our history is going to benefit me with background knowledge that can help when sourcing stories.

What research will you need to carry out? =

A detailed look into the history of LGBT lives in Britain, research on newspaper headlines the day after big days in LGBT history, research on the different LGBT publications (past and present) that exist in Britain.
